We want you to get the very best out of your Byrne & Love candle, so we’ve compiled our tips for a perfect burn.

  • It’s important to keep your wick trimmed to 5mm. This will keep the wick at optimum flame height and prevent the wick from smoking. To preserve the candle fragrance, do not burn for more than four hours at a time.
  • The first time you burn your candle allow the wax to burn evenly across the surface. Scented candles develop a ‘burn memory’ and a candle that has not burnt right to the edges on its initial use, will ‘tunnel’ and burn unevenly through the centre of the wax.
  • Never leave a lit candle unsupervised. Keep the flame away from drafts, curtains and other flammable items around the home. Keep burning candles out of reach of children and pets and always place on a stable, heat resistant surface.
  • Do not burn your candle all the way down, allow at least 10mm of non-molten wax in the bottom.
